Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Taskliet mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using Taskliet, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Taskliet is a household/family task reminder app. Our motto: “We're here to remind you.” It lets people in a household share tasks, events, tags, and reminders. Features may change as we improve the product.

The Service is provided for personal and household use. It is not a medical, emergency, or life-critical alerting system.

Taskliet is free to download. If paid features appear later, they will be offered in-app. A free Play listing will not become a paid download.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and meet any minimum age required by applicable law (and you must not use the Service if you are under 13).
• You sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for activity under your Taskliet account.
• You agree to provide accurate information (including optional profile details such as phone) and to keep it reasonably up to date.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Taskliet for illegal activity, harassment, stalking, threats, or abuse of household members or invitees
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Attempt to access another household’s data without authorisation
• Probe, scan, or attack our systems or other users’ devices
• Reverse engineer the app except where permitted by law
• Spam invites, scrape the Service, or overload our infrastructure
• Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes others’ rights
• Circumvent authentication or security controls

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms.

4. Households and invites

• You are responsible for who you invite and what you assign.
• Household invites are QR-based. Do not share the QR code with strangers.
• Invites may include an email and optional phone label. Recipients should only be people you know and have a legitimate reason to invite.
• You must not use invites to spam or contact people without an appropriate relationship.
• The House Admin (the person who created the household) controls household deletion and ownership transfer.
• Leaving a household or removing members does not automatically delete all historical task content that other members still need; request account deletion separately if you want your personal data removed (see Privacy Policy).

5. User content

You retain rights to content you submit (tasks, events, tags, profile details, and similar “User Content”).

By submitting User Content you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service (including syncing within your household and sending reminders).

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

6. Notifications and reminders

Reminders depend on device settings, battery optimisations, network connectivity, and OS permission (including exact-alarm permission where required). We do not guarantee that every reminder will fire at the exact intended time or that push notifications will always be delivered.

Do not rely on Taskliet as your only means of remembering critical obligations.

7. Third-party services

The Service uses Google Sign-In and related Google services for authentication, data storage, messaging, crash reporting, and app integrity. Your use of those services is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and privacy policies.

8. Intellectual property

Taskliet branding, app design, and software (excluding your User Content) are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to copy, modify, or redistribute our software except as needed to use the official app.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that reminders will always be timely.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) INR 1,000 (or equivalent), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted. If you live in the United Kingdom or the European Union, nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.

11. Termination

You may stop using Taskliet at any time and may request account deletion via https://taskliet.com/account-deletion, https://taskliet.com/contact-us, or support@taskliet.com, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will survive termination.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and request account deletion if desired.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence (including the UK and other jurisdictions where such rights cannot be waived).
